God is Watching Us

Our chapel, San Andres Apostol, was blessed this morning with the visit of the Most Reverend Bishop of Antipolo, Rev. Bishop Reyes. The bishop was invited by our CPC President to witness the ground breaking ceremony of the parish rectory which will house the priest to be assigned in our church. The parishioners hope that by next year, our chapel will already be a Parish.

What is in a parish? some of my friends ask. One of them explained that there are lots of benefits being a parish. For example, the parishioners will always have the services of a priest; the basket collection will solely be for the parish - no more percentage for the main parish; the homily of the priest will be understood by most of the parishioners because he will be a Filipino, etc. But what if the newly installed parish priest will be like the other parish priests (we know) who do not act like one. Can we ask the Bishop to replace him? My friend said, let us pray for him to show him the way. God is watching us!

Yes, I'll definitely pray with them - that whoever priest is assigned to be with at our parish may be worthy to lead his flock.
