Is There a Take Two?

Have you ever been asked a question and when you gave answer you later blame yourself for not giving the best? When it happens, you would like to request a "take two" so that you can amend your reply.

In trying to discern who among the parishioners could lead the next set of officers, our parish priest asked some of us: Can you be a leader at the Parish Pastoral Council? If yes, why?; if no, why? I was not satisfied with my answer. I could have said, I can be a leader but I know I am not fully equipped with the skill of a leader. However, if it is God's will, I will be able to perform the job satisfactorily. But what I said was so different. I kept saying "I don't want to lead -- just follow. I am not assertive." Isn't it so weak and disobedient?

If only there is a take two, I could give a better answer. I know that if you reply to God's call, even if you know you can't, every good thing will follow.
